The sixth session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC6) for the international Mercury Treaty took place in Bangkok, Thailand from 3 - 7 November, 2014, and numerous representatives from IPEN Participating Organizations took part. POPRC

IPEN members have participated as observers in the work of the Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) Review Committee (POPRC) since its inception. The POPRC is a subsidiary body to the Stockholm Convention established for reviewing chemicals proposed for listing in Annex A, B, and/or C.

DipCon (2013)

IPEN representatives participated in the open-ended intergovernmental preparatory meeting and the Conference of Plenipotentiaries (the Diplomatic Conference, or "DipCon") on the “Minamata Convention on Mercury” in the second week of October, 2013 in Japan. INC5 (2013)

The fifth session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC5) to prepare a treaty on mercury took place 13 - 18 January, 2013 in Switzerland and numerous representatives from IPEN Participating Organizations took part. This was the last negotiating committee meeting for the treaty, and it reached agreement on the text of the new treaty.

IPEN participated in SAICM’s (Strategic Approach International Chemicals Management’s) 3rd international conference, which took place in Kenya from 17 – 21 September, 2012.
