Tunisia: National Report on the Situation of Highly Hazardous Pesticides

This report presents findings of a study completed by AEEFG in April 2020. It is a preliminary study to identify highly hazardous pesticides, based on Pesticide Action Network, Food & Agriculture Organization (FAO) and World Health Organization (WHO) criteria, in use in Tunisia. It also outlines efforts in the country to phase out the use of highly hazardous pesticides and the challenges therein; and provides information about the use of alternative, non-chemical approaches such as agro-ecology in agricultural practices The report is an opportunity for reviewing the efficiency and risk-free management of pesticides in Tunisia.

This report relates to Sustainable Development Goals 2, 3, 6, 8, 12, 13, 14 and 15.
