Public awareness-raising about POPs contamination in the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region.
NGOs from the CEE region distributed different written publications focused on the POPs issue to other NGOs and government authorities. These publications - Policy Briefs, Country Situation Reports or Hot-Spot Reports - were prepared during different IPEP activities in their countries. Also other useful documents relating to this region and/or to the POPs issue were published and disseminated including The Egg Report, The New Generation of POPs: PBDEs and Lindane, After Incineration The Toxic Ash Problem - and factsheets related to the POPs issue (such as a fact sheet about the Best Available Techniques, Best Environmental Practices, about the Toolkit, Alternatives for the POPs disposal, etc.). Materials were translated into national languages as needed.
