Gohar Khojayan

Gohar Khojayan (she/her) is Communications Specialist with the Armenian Women for Health and Healthy Environment (AWHHE) based in Armenia. After completing university studies in pedagogy in Moscow and Yerevan, she worked in the national education sector, as well as in international and Armenian diaspora development and charity organizations. Her first leadership positions were with the UNICEF-Armenia office as Communication Officer and Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer while at times acting as Officer-in-Charge for UNICEF-Armenia. She then worked as Public Education Director for the Yerevan office of the Armenian EyeCare Project (AECP), a diaspora charity based in the USA. In 2010, Gohar came to AWHHE as a consultant and today she contributes to every project and process that AWHHE is engaged in, serving as the organization’s focal point for chemicals and waste and plastic pollution work.
