IPEN Gathers for a Global Meeting

More than 110 IPEN members from around the world met in the Philippines for a global meeting – the first such IPEN global gathering since early 2020.

A toxic-free future begins where exposure ends by protecting women, enforcing accountability, and turning commitments into action now. A toxic-free future demands more than promises. It requires laws that protect women, systems that hold polluters accountable, and action that reaches every community.

Our small study, carried out with $500, delivered a very large result. Our work toward a ban on lead paint means that Nigerian children will be from lead poisoning from paint.

Plastic recycling cannot solve the plastic crisis - recycling adds more pollution and releases more toxics. Avoiding plastic is the best way to solve the plastic crisis. As part of IPEN, we can strengthen capacity by developing our citizen science program, science-based policy making, and build a global movement for a healthy toxics-free future.
