SA News: South Asia Regional Meeting - IPEN (International Pollutants Elimination Network)

IPEN South Asia Regional Meeting took place from December 2-4, 2025 in Negombo, Sri Lanka. With participation from around 30 IPEN partner organisations across South Asia, the meeting strengthened regional connections and collective action. The meeting strengthened regional connections, enhanced understanding of IPEN’s structures and strategies, and created space for focused discussions on priority issues including plastics and chemicals, EDCs, PFAS, global policy processes (GFC, Plastics Treaty, BRS Conventions), RDF and plastic trade, antimicrobial resistance, and the use of AI in non-profit work.
