IPEN Quick Views: Plastics Treaty Intersessional Process

The fourth session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee to develop an international legally binding
instrument on plastic pollution (the Plastics Treaty INC-4) established two ad hoc open-ended expert groups,
one on finance and one on products and chemicals. Both Expert Group 1 and Expert Group 2 will meet three
times virtually in advance of the in-person meeting scheduled to take place in Bangkok, Thailand, from 24 – 28
August 2024.
