Mission
Misioni i IPEN është një e ardhme e shëndetshme dhe e lirë nga toksinat për të gjithë.
Vision
IPEN envisions a healthier world where people and the environment are no longer harmed by the production, use, and disposal of toxic chemicals.
Values
The Human Right to a Healthy Environment
The UN has recognized the universal human right to live in a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment, with access to clean air and water, a safe climate, and healthy food. IPEN’s work for a toxics-free future is essential for obtaining this right for all people.
Ending the Triple Planetary Crises
Scientists recognize three intertwined planetary crises: climate change, biodiversity loss, and the global spread of toxic pollutants. IPEN aims to end the production and use of toxic chemicals – chemicals that pollute healthy environments, threaten biodiversity, and are produced from fossil fuels that contribute to climate change.
Women and Children’s Health
Women’s equality is a fundamental human right that is well-established in international law. Exposures to toxic chemicals can violate equal rights, as women and children face different vulnerabilities from harmful chemicals. Ending toxic health threats is essential for ensuring that women and children can realize their full potential and rights in all aspects of their lives.
Local Leaders, Local Voices
IPEN globalizes local voices to protect human health and ensure environmental justice for all. Frontline communities, Indigenous Peoples, and women face the greatest risks from toxic production and chemical pollution. By centering leaders from low- and middle-income countries, IPEN empowers those most affected to secure a safe and toxic-free future.
