在阴云密布的天空下,一座低矮的绿色山丘周围是平整的草地和成片的灌木。风景一直延伸到远处的地平线,上面有零星的树木和蓝天。.

IPEN supports its POs in Anglophone Africa with capacity building, scientific and technical expertise, and advice on their policy advocacy efforts. Pesticides, lead paint, and pollution from plastics and plastic waste are among the region’s environmental health concerns.

Anglophone Africa is a region with varied landscapes, from West African coasts and savannas to East African highlands and the southern African plateau. Culturally, it is shaped by a rich history of Indigenous cultures and languages with the influences of colonialism and trade. Many areas are marked by a blend of traditional and modern practices. Environmental health concerns along with national socio-economic conditions create increasing risks for toxics-related illnesses.  IPEN’s work has helped create partnerships among POs in the region, attracting government support in moving toward toxics-free policies.
