Reject Proposal for Exemptions to Ban on UV-328: Submission by ACAT and IPEN to the Stockholm Convention

ACAT and IPEN warn that a proposal to open a previous decision by the COP (to list UV-328 for global elimination) to add a new exemption is unprecedented in the history of the Stockholm Convention. We are very concerned about the implications of this for the integrity of the Convention as described and recommend that the listing of UV-328, as decided by the 11th Conference of the Parties in 2023, should not be reopened for new exemptions.
