Global Action on Toxic Pesticides

IPEN works with our partners through the Stockholm Convention, the Global Framework on Chemicals (GFC), and other global policy forums to end the production and use of hazardous pesticides.

斯德哥尔摩公约

Several toxic pesticides, including DDT, were among the first “dirty dozen” chemicals banned globally under the Stockholm Convention. IPEN continues to advocate at the Convention for global bans on hazardous pesticides.

全球化学品框架

IPEN works with a broad coalition of sustainable agriculture advocates, women’s health groups, labor organizations, public health and medical groups, and others through the GFC and its Global Alliance on Highly Hazardous Pesticides (HHPs) to further the goal of a global phase-out of HHPs by 2035.

Environment and Science

IPEN advocates for global action to end threats from toxic pesticides at other global forums. At the 2024 UN Environment Assembly (UNEA), IPEN released a report documenting global threats from HHPs. Pesticide policies may also be discussed at the Science-Policy Panel meetings, the 持久有机污染物联络小组, and other global policy venues.
