 Die Gründer und Führungskräfte von IPEN sind Experten und Gemeindevertreter, hauptsächlich aus Ländern mit niedrigem und mittlerem Einkommen in Afrika, Asien und Lateinamerika.  Diese Führungskräfte.

Der Exekutivausschuss ist der gewählte Die geschäftsführende Stelle trägt die Gesamtverantwortung für IPEN, während das Sekretariat aus Programm- und Verwaltungspersonal besteht, einschließlich Wissenschafts- und Politikberatern, die unsere globalen Netzwerkmitglieder mit Forschungsunterstützung, technischer Beratung, Politikanalysen und weiterer Unterstützung versorgen.

IPEN-Ko-Vorsitzende

Einer der beständigsten Beiträge von IPEN war sein Erfolg bei der Stärkung von zivilgesellschaftlichen Organisationen, insbesondere aus dem “Globalen Süden”, zur Teilnahme an internationalen Politikforen.... Die technischen Beiträge und die Lobbyarbeit von IPEN unterstützten die Dynamik in Richtung [vieler globaler Chemikalienverbote], und kein anderer zivilgesellschaftlicher Akteur wurde mit einer ähnlich großen Bandbreite und Tiefe der Beteiligung zitiert.

Eine der herausragendsten Stärken von IPEN ist seine Identität als ein Netzwerk, das von seinen POs (Presiding Officers) im Eigenbesitz ist und von ihnen gesteuert wird. IPEN wird als ein Netzwerk von Netzwerken betrachtet... in dem alle Akteure gleichberechtigt sind und ein starkes Zusammengehörigkeitsgefühl haben. Die Fähigkeit von IPEN, schnell auf neue Probleme zu reagieren, hat es ihm ermöglicht, einflussreich zu bleiben.... Diese Flexibilität war entscheidend dafür, dass globale Initiativen lokal relevant und umsetzbar sind.
