IPEN and CIEL statement at OEWG1 on a Science-Policy Panel

On Thursday the 6th of October, 2022, the first meeting of the ad-hoc open-ended working group (OEWG) on a Science-Policy panel on chemicals took place. The meeting follows resolution 5/8, where UNEA decided that a science-policy panel should be established to contribute further to the sound management of chemicals and waste and to prevent pollution. During this first meeting the working group planned to consider procedural matters and to adopt the rules of procedure.
