Stockholm Convention's POPs Review Committee: IPEN's Role
IPEN has contributed original science and updates on the latest research to the Stockholm Convention’s POPs Review Committee (POPRC) since its inception, advocating for global elimination of chemicals that threaten human health and the environment.
The Stockholm Convention takes recommendations from the POPRC when countries nominate new chemicals for addition to the list of POPs that should be globally banned. POPRC is charged with reviewing the latest science and considering policy solutions, including global bans on hazardous chemicals.
