Report on Highly Hazardous Pesticides in Tanzania and Proposed Actions for Phase Out

This report presents findings of a study completed by AGENDA for Environment and Responsible Development in February 2019 with support from IPEN. The purpose of the project study was to provide a general overview of pesticides registered and used in Tanzania, and on what crops; outline efforts in the country to phase out the use of highly hazardous pesticides and the challenges therein; and provide information about the use of alternative, non-chemical approaches such as agro-ecology in agricultural practices in Tanzania.

This report relates to Sustainable Development Goals 2, 3, 6, 8, 12, 13, 14 and 15.
